Request for Information
To produce fair and equitable assessments in accordance with the Municipal Government Act (MGA) and associated regulations, Assessment regularly mails requests for information to the assessed person of a property.
The information is requested in accordance with section 295(1) of the Municipal Government Act (MGA) which states;
A person must provide, on request by the assessor, any information necessary for the assessor to carry out the duties and responsibilities of an assessor under Parts 9 to 12 and the regulations.
If you choose not to provide information, your right to file a complaint with the Assessment Review Board is affected as per section 295(4) of the MGA which states;
No person may make a complaint in the year following the assessment year under section 460 or, in the case of designated industrial property, under section 492(1) about an assessment if the person has failed to provide any information requested under subsection (1) within 60 days from the date of the request.
Pursuant to section 295 of the Municipal Government Act the information requested will be used to assist the assessor with preparing the assessment, or to determine if the property is to be assessed. The information you provide will be treated in accordance with the provisions of the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo's Confidentiality Bylaw, the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, and the Municipal Government Act. Apartment

Retail/Industrial/Office
This form is for commercial property owners and/or their agents who received the Income Request Form in the mail.
Hotel/Motel
This form is for Hotel/Motel property owners and/or their agents who received the Income Request Form in the mail.
