Heavy Item Pick Up

Please read following rules for Heavy Item Pick Up

  1. Registration is limited and ONLY registered items will be picked up. Items not registered will be left at the curb/roadside and are the property owners responsibility.

    Heavy Household Items that are accepted (Maximum 4 items/household):

    • Sofa/Couch
    • Love Seat/Chair
    • Mattress +++
    • Boxspring +++
    • Metal Bed Frame
    • Dresser
    • Stove
    • Dishwasher
    • Washer
    • Dryer
    • Exercise Equipment (Treadmill, elliptical) ++
    • Table - Kitchen/Dining room
    • Desk – Office/Computer
    • Large Television (24” tube or 27” or larger)
    • * Refrigerator +++
    • * Freezer +++

    * Doors need to be removed prior to pickup of fridges & freezers to prevent children and small animals from being trapped. Item(s) must be clean with no food inside.

    ++All exercise equipment is to be taped or tied together prior to pickup to prevent injury while moving.

    +++Landfill fees apply to these items.

  2. This program is a RESIDENTIAL program.
    • Items must be curb/road side by 8:00 a.m. of day of the appointment.
    • If your normal collection is back alley, please ensure that all items are placed at the front of the home, curbside, NOT back alley.
    • Due to demand and routes, it could take up to 48 hours for pick up.
    • Crews can not go onto private property or go back for items not put out.
  3. Other Programs
    • Household Hazardous Waste such as paint, used oil, batteries, cleaners, glues, can be dropped off at the Regional Landfill during regular operation hours. Special Household Hazardous Waste Roundup events occur once a year, but due to Covid-19, our 2021 program may change.
